Safety & Privacy
No phone numbers. No pressure. You decide who sees what, and you can block or report anyone at any time.
You control who sees your profile
- Public — anyone with your link can view your full profile.
- Connections only — your photo, video, and story stay hidden until you approve a connection request.
- Private — your profile isn't discoverable at all; you share it only with people you choose.
You can change your privacy level at any time from your profile editor, and every connection request needs your explicit approval before that person can see your full profile.
No phone number required
Say Hello exists specifically so you never have to hand out your number to make an introduction. Everything — saying hello, connecting, messaging — happens through your Hello Profile link instead.
Block and report, anytime
Every profile has a Block and a Report option. Blocking is mutual and immediate — you disappear from each other's profiles and neither of you can send requests or messages. Reports go to our team for review.
Available Mode is opt-in
Being discoverable to people nearby is a toggle you turn on yourself, for as long as you want — off by default, and you can turn it off again at any moment.
Verified badges
A verified badge means our team manually confirmed that profile. Look for it before you decide how much to trust a first impression.
Meeting in person
- Video chat or talk on the phone before meeting up.
- Meet the first time in a public place, and tell a friend where you're going.
- Arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, you can leave, block, and report.
